Excavation of Crystals and Minerals / Geo Trails
It is hard to find more interesting mineralogical area in Bosnia then Kresevo and its surroundings. An experienced guides will take you to more than 20 sites where you can find exquisit examples of crystals and minerals: quartz, citrine, barite, pyrite, goethite, cinnabar, siderite, realgar, auripigment, azurite, malachite, goethite, covellite, chalcocite, tetrahedrite, fluorite, chalcopyrite, onyx, calcite, vescelite…. Hiking in area of Municipality of Kreševo
Kresevo is more than 120 years known hiking destination. Situated in the heart of the Central Dinarides along All day, price: 100 KM (guide inc the 70 kilometer long continuous mountain series that make up the mountain Vranica (2112 m), Zec (1871 m), Matorac (1937 m), Vitreusa (1919 m), Pogorelica (1437 m), Bitovnja (1744 m) and Ivan (1534 m). Geologically, the core of these mountains make Paleozoic sediments making them the oldest mountains in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Geology has caused the occurrence of ore deposits and mineral sources. The whole area is extremely rich in water. In the mountain massif Zec there are wellheads of rivers Vrbas and Neretva. Vegetation cover up to 1600 m are the centuries-old forests, made mainly of fir and beech with a smaller share of other species, while above there is a spread of mountain pastures.
